Adaptogenic Matcha Cacao Latte
Oh the power of herbs and caffeine. Sometimes before an early morning workout I prefer to have a latte with a light snack and save a proper breakfast for afterward. This is why the added fats and collagen here are important. This latte has the best of all worlds - a steady energy boost from the matcha and mct oil, a protein boost from the collagen, an immune boost from the chaga, and a mood boost from the cacao.
1½ tsp matcha powder
1 tsp cacao powder (I used Zenbunni here)
1 tsp chaga (for immunity and overall well-being)*
1 tbs tocos (Sun Potion's tastes the best)
1 heaping tbs collagen peptides*
1-2 tsp MCT oil (I prefer Bulletproof Brain Octane)*
1 tsp maple syrup (or 2 tsp of Lakanto monk fruit sweetener for zero sugar)
1 cup hot water
1 cup full fat almond milk
Combine these ingredients into a blender and blend at high speed for 2-3 minutes, pour into a mug, enjoy!
Note: If you don’t have or don’t want to use the added boosts such as the adaptogen, collagen, or MCT oil you can simply omit*
